Party Inspiration: Cowboys and Indians
It’s no secret that I love to host a good party. I love any reason to obsess over Pinterest boards, create “To Do” lists, and spend some extra time in the aisles of Hobby Lobby. I wanted to do something a little different for his 1st and I had brought up the “Cowboys and Indians” theme to my parents one day. My dad went nuts! Apparently he was a teepee constructing pro when he was in the Scouts and couldn’t wait to show us that he still had skills.
When the big day came, we ran around like chickens with our heads cutoff. As luck would have it, it decided to pour down rain (the flooding kind of rain) the entire week before. So I spent the whole morning getting everything moved from our living room to the backyard while my husband spent it with a blower trying to dry out our swamp of a yard. It was chaotic. But as everyone started to show up to honor our sweet boy, all of that stress was a distant memory.
We had such a blast celebrating
making it through our first year of parenthood Boston’s special day. And Boston got way too much love and smooches to quantify.
